All Hallows Eve
By Robin Lee Shelby
That makes a menace of all the trees
Spectres await the souls of mortal fools
Who try to act like ghosts and ghouls
And chills all those who dare go forth
It howls its way through the countryside
Making children of all ages hide
That is often heard from countless small fry
Witches and ghosts; goblins and ghouls
All of them not yet out of school
Upsetting the barrel at the store
The wagon placed on top of the school
Mischief and bedlam are the rule
And that’s how it really should be
A time to let off a little steam
Something about which we could dream
